Pieter de Groot
Chief Executive Officer
With over 30 years in the industry, Pieter leads with experience and understanding. Pieter’s focus is on operational excellence, thought leadership and industry best practice. He has built Nordwake in to an efficient and effective company with a wide range of health-related services and with a team of capable and competent subject matter experts. He empowers his team to build strong, supportive relationships with customers and to continually strive to provide a higher standard of service. In the ever-evolving personal injury management environment, Pieter thrives on innovating within the business and aims to strengthen our position as leaders in the market.
Neen Lavender
Chief Operating Officer
An experienced leader in project and people management, Neen's focus is on the continual improvement of company performance and staff efficacy. Prior to her role at Nordwake, Neen was responsible for the daily maintenance of over 250 contract employees, working as the youngest branch manager of one of South Africa's largest recruitment companies. After immigrating to Australia, she worked alongside the CBA Executive Change Management Team, and was awarded for her service and professionalism. As a woman in business, Neen seeks to set an example for her two daughters, who are, in her words, her most significant achievement to date.
Pia O'Connell
Chief Information Officer
Pia is the newly appointed Chief Information Officer and is responsible for the overall management of the organisations’ information and communication technology services and ensuring compliance with all the relevant legislation. She brings over 20 years first-hand experience in working across all areas of the business and in addition to this Pia has been instrumental in the development and maintenance of the company’s ERP system as well as the integration of the different acquisitions into the Nordwake IT system. Pia is dedicated to providing the best ICT services to all stakeholders and is determined to take Nordwake into the forefront of innovation to support the company’s strategic plan and be the provider of choice in the personal injury management sector.
Darren Taylor
Chief Financial Officer
Darren has strong financial executive management experience as a CFO in three different countries and has led a number of successful acquisitions & sales on behalf of SME companies. After 20 years experience in corporate roles, Darren now works as a virtual CFO across a number of business, supporting SME business leaders, especially through a M&A transaction. His resume and professional experience is vast and highly notable, but with every new company he works for he brings the same unwavering determination to make all that is involved a success.
Joshua Wong
Sales and Marketing Manager
With almost a decade of industry experience spanning a wide range of customers from different industries including WorkCover QLD, State-&-local Government Departments & Self-Insurers, Joshua has seen it all - and probably fixed many too. Now as the Sales & Marketing Manager, he’s taken his expertise in the Workplace Rehabilitation space & added deep market knowledge in the Medicolegal field, because why settle for one specialty when you can master two? Known for his love of coffee-fuelled conversations, Joshua has a talent for transforming casual chats with stakeholders into meaningful partnerships. Whether it’s over a latte or a long black, he’s always brewing up ideas to strengthen relationships & facilitate positive rehabilitative outcomes in the worker’s compensation space given his experience in multiple different sectors. Joshua’s approach is as strategic as it is hands-on-literally. He thrives on seeing firsthand how tailored workplace rehabilitation strategies can change lives. Part Exercise Physiologist, part business strategist, & now part coffee enthusiast, Joshua is the kind of professional who doesn’t just work in the industry; he elevates it.
